A unique public gathering happened in downtown Peterborough on the afternoon of July 31: “Peterborough’s Annual Bee Parade.”

Little information was given about this parade before the event was scheduled to begin that afternoon. It was a light-hearted celebration of pollinators, public performance, and community.

Dozens of people wearing bee-themed clothing marched along Hunter Street West towards The Only Café, following behind a metaphorical funeral procession for the “Queen Bee” and a 5-piece Jazz band.
