Dr. Sylvie Bérard, a French Studies professor at Trent University, has been awarded the 2025 Governor General’s Literary Award for Translation for her translation of The Tiger Flu by Larissa Lai, translated into French as Les Sœurs de la Muée. The Governor General’s Literary Award is considered one of the highest literary distinctions in Canada.
