The Peterborough Police Service released enforcement statistics for their first quarter at their board meeting on Tuesday June 16th.

The numbers were part of series of reports from the Q1 snapshot presented to the board at the Police Service Board meeting, which included details of the Community Focused Investigation Response Support Team, or “FIRST,” program’s first-quarter performance, as well as statistics for Policing activity and criminal offences.

Preliminary statistics indicate a general decrease in the number of policing incidents and criminal activity, with a few scattered increases in the instances of certain isolated violent crimes. The statistics also demonstrate a decrease in the amount of stolen property recovered through the Community FIRST initiative.
