One final candidate is running to be Peterborough’s next mayor. Rob Hailman submitted his paperwork to run on August 21st, and officially launched his mayoral campaign on September 14th at Sadleir House.
Hailman emphasizes progressive solutions to the problems facing the city of Peterborough, and is advocating for a human-rights, housing-first-based approached to the homelessness crisis, investment in a liveable city, and a commitment to transparency throughout the municipal budget process.
Hailman is the final candidate to join the 2026 slate of mayoral candidates in Peterborough since return candidate Brian Lumsden filed his paperwork in July. His addition makes a total of seven certified candidates: Michael Eamon, Rob Hailman, Brian Lumsden, Jacob Methot, Neil Morton, Keith Riel, and Rebecca Schillemat.
