Peterborough City Council faced another interruption from resident and frequent delegate Margie Sumadh on Monday, August 24th. Sumadh interjected during remarks from councilor Lesley Parnell to take issue with her rhetoric directed at homeless clients of One City’s Trinity shelter.

Conucil had been debating a motion to allocate $25,000 for a One City pilot program which would see the social enterprise employ their service clients to clean up the neighbourhood around the Trinity shelter.

Listen for the whole debate on the issue and to hear recording of Sumadh’s interjection.
