Peterborough now has a new free weekly newspaper, Peterborough Weekly, reaching 40,000 homes in the city and surrounding areas. Edited by Alex Karn, the paper launched four weeks ago to fill a gap left since the closure of Peterborough This Week in 2019.

Focusing on grassroots community stories, local events, and resident perspectives, the paper gives a platform to voices often overlooked. The Peterborough Perspectives section lets residents share what matters to them, from arts and culture to community challenges.

Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with readers appreciating the tangible, accessible format. With continued community-focused reporting and plans to expand coverage across Peterborough County, the paper is quickly becoming a staple for local news.

Look for Peterborough Weekly in your mailbox every Thursday.
