On the morning of May 20th, the City of Peterborough invited the public to Nichols Oval Park to celebrate National Public Works Week. The event featured programming designed to recognize the contributions of local public works employees, including tree climbing demonstrations, a guided tree walk, giveaways, and “Touch a Truck,” at which the public were invited to explore the City and County’s public works vehicles.
CFFF spent the morning at Nichols Oval touching trucks and speaking to people about the event.
Listen for interviews with members of the City’s public works team, event attendees, and CFFF Broadcast Journalist Evan Robins’ reaction to sitting in the cab of a large excavator.
