On Monday, May 12th, the Pedal for Hope team rolled into Westmount Public School, marking its 21st tour in support of Cops for Cancer. The team included police officers from the Peterborough Police, Durham Regional Police, OPP, and RCMP. They visited the school as part of a high-energy campaign to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.

Students gathered in the schoolyard to welcome the riders with cheers and handmade signs. The outdoor event featured games, music, and the powerful story of Hannah, a Westmount student and cancer survivor, reminding everyone of the impact their support can have.

The day was made even more special by the visit of Stuart Betts, Chief of Police for Peterborough, and a longtime supporter of the cause. Sgt. John Townsend, founder of Pedal for Hope, spoke about the importance of community support for children facing cancer.
