A local BIPOC-led organization, Diverse Nature Collective (DNC), is starting a series of P.A. day camps for racialized youth. The first instance will be a nature-focused P.A. day camp for Black Youth on Oct. 24th.
DNC Founder, Patricia Wilson, hopes the camp will “create an affinity space for black youth to recreate outside, to learn about the environment, […] and to connect with other kids who look like them.”
This camp is hosted through a partnership with TRACKS Youth Program and will take place at the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre. It is free to attend, but participants need to register in advance.
