The City of Peterborough is opening applications to a pilot program designed to help residents who are unable to clear their driveways and walkways themselves.

The program offers a subsidy to eligible low-income seniors and disabled residents to cover the cost of private snow removal.

Applications for the city’s Snow Removal Subsidy program open on Thursday, October 15th.

CFFF reporter Evan Robins spoke with the city’s Community Development Program Manager, Chris Kawalec, about the pilot program and what it means for Peterborough residents.
