Nominations for the 2026 Peterborough municipal election opened on Friday, May 1st at 8:30 AM. Trent Radio’s Evan Robins was there, along with a handful of other reporters from local media outlets.

In this panel, CFFF Local Journalism Initiative reporter Evan Robins speaks to the Peterborough Examiner‘s Politics and City Hall Reporter, Sebastian Johnston-Lindsay, and Editor-in-Chief of Arthur, David King about the first week of the municipal campaign, which candidates have thrown their hats in the ring, and how the race is shaping up.
