The City of Peterborough recently launched a new parking survey to receive feedback from residents about their experience parking downtown.
The survey covers a number of topics, including on-street parking, signage, parking meter charges and maintenance, the HotSpot parking app and a potential city-wide switch to cashless parking payment.
However, the survey takes for granted that respondents drive and park downtown, despite the fact that many people who live or work in Peterborough’s city centre don’t drive.
Listen to hear me speak to students and local businesspeople who navigate by ways other than car about their opinions on Peterborough’s relationship to motor vehicles.
