Culture X, an annual showcase of art created by students in Cultural Studies at Trent, opens to the public on June 5th in the Sadleir House Senior Common Room.

This year is the first time the event is located at Sadleir House. Previous iterations of Culture X have been held at Artspace in downtown Peterborough.

The move follows the launch of a student-run art gallery in Sadleir House, named the Jolly Hangman, which will move from its current space in the downstairs boardroom to the Senior Common Room after the conclusion of Culture X.

Listen to hear head curator and Cultural Studies Chair, Dr. Kelly Egan, and Jolly Hangman founders Nevan Hinks and Cohen Arndt-Perris, discuss Culture X 2026.

Culture X runs from June 5th to June 26th, 2026.
