For ten years Bennett Bedoukian has been producing letterpress posters, broadsheets, and books through his one-man operation as O, Underworld Press.

Bedoukian, who is based out of Havelock, ON, assembles his publications by hand on manual relief presses and using hand-placed lead type.

I had the opportunity to visit Bedoukian’s Havelock workshop with my friend and Arthur editor-in-chief David King ahead of the Peterborough Book and Zine fair in May to talk to Bedoukian about his practice.

While our full conversation was more than fourty minutes long, it is presented here in an abridged format for the sake of clarity and concision.
